SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN: HOW THE IDEA COMES OUT
We have always believed and developed strong relationships with our suppliers. The price and quality of the service are undoubtedly essential elements, but maybe not the only ones, in the customer-supplier match. There are many other elements that in the long run can contribute to making the difference and among these the commitment to sustainability plays a central role. From this point of view 2012 represents the year of passage from general awareness to specific action: Supply Chain analysis, also under the aspect of the sustainability, becomes a priority for the Company.
THE PROJECT “FUTURE LOVERS WANTED”
We launch the project “Future Lovers Wanted: Sustainability, Innovation and partnership in the Supply Chain”. This comes from the awareness that in the long term the relationship with our suppliers should be increasingly centered on the common vision of contributing, each with their tangible or intangible resources, to build a sustainable development. The project is divided into two strategic moments, the meeting in plenary and the telephone recall campaign that have led to the identification of the most appropriate supplier for our corporate policy.
SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN AND 2014/2015 MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The partnership with the “future lovers” has led us to activate constructive projects to respond to the needs of consumers and with interesting effects on environmental sustainability. For instance, the strong relationship with perfumeries has led to an increase in the quality of the product as well as a stronger relationship with the supplier. Another very important project was the passage from supplies in plastic material to supplies in recycled plastic: in this way the involvement of suppliers has allowed, despite an increase in flacons and vases, to contain the increase in the overall weight.
